ExtraTxt is a new-generation reliable, robust, enterprise class SMS - Text Messaging Web 2.0 software appliance developed by Extracomm to meet the modern day business needs for companies of any size.
ExtraTxt empowers global reach to prospects and customers alike at a fraction of the effort and cost compared to voice communications. It allows you to substantially extend your sales, marketing, transaction processing, operations and logistics communications as well as system monitoring alert capabilities reaching out to a global audience, directly through your mobile carrier, SMS Centers (SMSC), or through Skype.
(Note: ExtraTxt is a self-contained software appliance which can run, but does not need to run with Lotus Domino, Microsoft Exchange, etc.)

International SMS-Text Messaging costs can be greatly reduced. The ExtraTxt Skype interface provides a cost effective way to dispatch text messages as an alternative to subscribing to a SMSC service.

Ideal for instances where high volumes of SMS-Text Messages must be sent and delivered quickly.
TCP/IP based and no GSM modem hardware is required.
It is possible to assign an alphanumeric sender ID to each SMS-Text Message.
- Supports GSM 7-bit and UCS2 Unicode encoding
You can compose your SMS-Text Messages in many different languages.
- Supports Long SMS-Text Messages
You can send and receive text messages that exceed the maximum character length limit of a single SMS-Text Message (160 characters).
- Scheduled SMS-Text Messages
You can compose your SMS and schedule it to be sent at later time. This is ideal for situations where text messages should be sent at a specific date/time.
- Sender ID Branding
Outgoing text messages can be branded with a Sender ID of your choice (normally your company name or product name).
- Subscription Lists
Allows your customers to join your mobile marketing list by texting a keyword (e.g. name of your restaurant) to a short code.
For example, a Pizza shop or salon can start a Mobile VIP club and invite its customers to opt-in to receive special discounts.
- Outlook Mobile Service (OMS)
You can compose text messages within Outlook and forward Outlook items (including e-mail messages, meetings, and contacts) as text messages.
You can receive replies from mobile devices and have two-way communication between Outlook and mobile phones.
- Multi-Tenant
ExtraTxt allows a single instance of ExtraTxt running on a server, serving multiple client organizations (tenants).
The ExtraTxt instance is logically partitioned so that it appears to each organization that they are accessing a completely separate instance of ExtraTxt.
- SMS Credits
Each account has its own credit balance, allowing the user to send text messages when the account has sufficient credits.
Message rates for different countries can be set up.
Low credit balance alert can be configured so that email alert will be sent to account administrators when the credit falls below a threshold.
- Template Libraries
You can now store reusable SMS-Text Message content in public/personal template libraries of ExtraTxt. The libraries allow users to categorize templates into different folders. This makes repetitive communications quick and accurate.
- Address Books
ExtraTxt provides public/personal/shared address books for users to organize their contacts and distribution lists.
- Routing/Forwarding Incoming SMS-Text Messages
Incoming SMS can be automatically routed to individual users by Email or SMS.
- Forward Incoming Email to SMS-Text Messages
By forwarding their incoming e-mails to ExtraTxt, users can receive SMS-Text Messaging noti-fications relating to the new e-mails they may have received.
- ExtraTxt API

- Safeguard Confidential SMS
Configure user accounts with different access rights.
Restrict access for users and/or administrators to only see the first portion of a text message or restrict them from only viewing text messages that they sent.
