SecurTrac Setup Verification
To verify that SecurTracTM has been set up properly, you can perform the following test.
- On the Domino server that is running SecurTracTM, open the SecurTracTM Configuration Database (SCTCFG.NSF).
- In the left pane, select .
- Click the button at the top in order to create a new NOTES.INI Monitor.
- On the 'Basics' tab, in the 'Server to monitor' section, select 'All in the domain'.
- On the 'Basics' tab, in the ''Log Database' section, select 'Log to default log database' and 'log action on the server where the event occurred'.
- On the 'Monitor' tab, specify your e-mail address if you want to receive e-mail notifications for any Notes.ini file changes.
- On the "Administration" tab, specify the owner and administrator(s) of the monitor. By default, it is your current user name.
- Click to save the configuration so that the notes.ini will now be monitored.
- Open the Notes.ini file and append the following entry:
ABC=1
- Save the updated Notes.ini file settings.
- Open the SecurTracTM Log Database (SCTLOG.NSF).
- In the left pane, select .
- In the right pane, a new log for the NOTES.INI File Monitor should be recorded.
- Double click the log record and the log details will be displayed.
- This will confirm that SecurTracTM is monitoring as expected.
- Remove the ABC=1 parameter from the Domino server's notes.ini
